In America, there is road that cannot be found on any map. It crosses places without borders that are called blues, country, soul, folk, gospel and rock’n’roll. It’s a limitless and eternal road that we also call Americana. Nico Duportal took it a while ago already, and today he keeps going. On the same path but towards a new destination, a more personal one, by writing songs. This new direction is beautifully confirmed by Lowland Brothers, reunited by friendship and the love for the soul music from the sixties and warm sound productions. There is no hidden meaning behind their name, they play their music on higher ground, closer to the sky, between soul, country and rock’n’roll. There is an intimate alchemy between these five Brothers from other mothers, and you can hear their references and their capacity to go beyond them, with echos from Roy Orbison, Curtis Mayfield, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Dan Auerbach, without any imitation. This alchemy will get your feet stomping and you’ll want to go higher.
