David Corley burst onto the Americana, roots or rock scene in 2015 at the age of 54 with the release and overnight success of his debut album Available Light. (9/10 in Uncut magazine). Especially in the Netherlands, UK and Ireland he was in sudden and big demand for live appearances, and successful tours gave him an almost legendary status in especially Ireland. Then at the end of his impressive set at the Take Root Festival in Groningen, David turned to the audience: "my heart goes out to all of you" and dang! his heart went out all together as David suffered a massive heart attack.
After surgery and a long recovery, David started touring again and also reconnected with producer Hugh Cristopher Brown to work on a new album. In the process they produced an album length 7 track EP : Lights Out which was released in 2016. Now, in 2017 Corley returns to the forefront of roots rock with another impressive collection of songs on his new album Zero Moon. Which naturally includes many
reflections on the rocky road his relatively young career has been on in the past couple of years.
