Seven years after “Love Is the Only Law”, Daniele Tenca is back with his new album “Just A Dream”, once again produced by Antonio “Cooper” Cupertino. Although deeply rooted in the blues and black music traditions, the album’s overall sound and arrangements are extremely contemporary and music is seen as a way to denounce violence and injustice.
So next to the rhythms of modern blues pioneers, we find themes ranging from the struggle to achieve racial equality (Martin Luther King’s famous speech is beautifully featured in the title track) to global warming awareness and the openness to cultural otherness in our societies. Daniele Tenca also offers us an original cover of H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe”, sung by Guy Davis, and an acoustic take on “This Land” by Gary Clark, Jr. Here’s the link to the album’s launch single “No More Time Left” www.youtube.com/watch?v=axcO84fKBg4, a wake-up call to raise awareness on the topics of environmental protection and preserving the planet for future generations.
