Ze zijn al enkele decennia niet weg te denken uit het Nederlandse (maar ook internationale) blueslandschap. Met vele gelauwerde albums en een trits aan blues-awards in hun bagage zijn The Juke Joints nog steeds een veelgevraagde top-act op de bluespodia en -festivals. Hetgeen nog maar eens onderstreept wordt door de recente uitverkiezing als beste band bij de Dutch Blues Awards 2016.

Een band die zich al jarenlang onderscheidt ten opzichte van de overige Nederlandse bluesbands en overduidelijk een eigen stijl heeft ontwikkeld met voornamelijk zelf geschreven nummers en slechts incidenteel een cover. Met hun mengeling van blues, rock & roll, rockabilly en zydeco zetten The Juke Joints al ruim 34 jaar nationale en internationale podia in vuur en vlam. Optredens van de band ontaarden altijd in een feeststemming onder het publiek, of het nu een festival- of een café optreden is.
Ook in 2016 wisten The Juke Joints zich zowel in Nederland als in het buitenland weer in de kijker te spelen.Buiten hun eigen repertoire staan ze ook als begeleiders van mensen als Eddy ‘The Chief’ Clearwater hun mannetje en staan even makkelijk te spelen achter een gitaarvirtuoos als Jan Akkerman.
Hun veelzijdigheid blijkt ook maar weer eens uit het in April uit te komen album "Crossroads, Unplugged" waar 12 covers en originals te beluisteren zijn die live werden opgenomen tijdens een radio-sessie bij BRTO radio in Bergen op Zoom. Een nieuwe mijlpaal in de carrière van deze unieke Zeeuwse band.
